Copper Creek deadbolts provide a separate locking point for exterior doors and other openings where a deadbolt is specified. The assortment includes conventional single cylinder and double cylinder locks along with selected heavy-duty, electronic keypad and lockset-combination products.

Single cylinder deadbolts normally use a keyed cylinder outside and a thumbturn inside, making them a common exterior-door configuration. Double cylinder deadbolts require a key from both sides. Because a double cylinder lock can restrict emergency exit when a key is not immediately available, verify applicable building, fire and egress requirements before selecting that function.

Replacement work should begin with the door preparation. Compare backset, cross-bore and edge-bore dimensions, door thickness, faceplate style, bolt projection, strike preparation and the footprint of the existing trim. Even when a deadbolt uses a common bore pattern, differences in backset or strike preparation can affect installation.
