Commercial Interconnected Door Handlesets

Shop commercial interconnected door locks and handlesets that combine latch and deadbolt operation in a coordinated entry set. The live assortment includes lever-style interconnected locks for offices, multifamily entries, service doors, and other openings where the latch and deadbolt are designed to work as one hardware system. Before replacing an existing interconnected lock, confirm the door preparation, center-to-center relationship between lock components, handing when required, cylinder or keying format, backset, trim dimensions, and the exact operating function. Interconnected hardware is not universally interchangeable, so product-level measurements and manufacturer compatibility are especially important.

Commercial Interconnected Door Locks and Handlesets

Commercial interconnected locks combine two locking points or operating components into a coordinated door-hardware assembly. Depending on the model, the system may pair a lever or knob latch with a deadbolt and use connected internal hardware so the components operate as a designed set. These locks are commonly found on multifamily, office, hospitality and other commercial-style openings where a combined lock arrangement is specified.

Replacement work should begin with the existing door preparation. Measure the backset and the vertical relationship between the latch and deadbolt preparations, then compare the new lock's required bore locations, trim dimensions and mounting arrangement. An interconnected lock that appears similar from the outside may require a different internal chassis or door preparation, so appearance alone is not enough to establish compatibility.

Function is equally important. The assortment can include keyed entry, office, passage or other interconnected configurations, and those functions determine how the outside and inside trim operate. Confirm whether the product uses a keyed cylinder, thumbturn, passage function or another control arrangement, and verify whether the lock is supplied complete or requires a compatible cylinder, core or other component.

Handing and trim orientation can matter on interconnected lever sets. Check the individual product specifications for handing requirements, lever orientation, rose or escutcheon dimensions and door-thickness range. If the opening is part of an existing keyed system, also confirm the keyway, cylinder format or interchangeable-core preparation before ordering.

For commercial, multifamily or code-regulated openings, the complete hardware arrangement must suit the door, occupancy and project requirements. Verify the manufacturer's installation instructions and any applicable egress, accessibility or fire-door requirements for the specific opening. Matching the existing lock family and door preparation is usually the most reliable path when replacing older interconnected hardware.
