Schlage Passage Levers for Hall and Closet Doors

A Schlage passage lever operates a latch without a locking function. Turning the lever opens the door from either side, while the latch helps hold the door closed when it meets the strike. This makes passage hardware useful for hallways, closets, pantries and laundry rooms where a working latch is needed but privacy locking is unnecessary. Choose the function according to how the opening is used. A closet door secured by a separate catch may instead need fixed dummy trim, while a bedroom or bathroom may call for a privacy lever. You may also see this non-locking function described as a passage lockset or passage latchset. Despite the word 'lockset,' a Schlage passage set does not provide keyed security or privacy locking.

Schlage F10 passage levers are represented in this collection by designs including Accent, Latitude and Flair. The full model number identifies more than the lever shape, so compare the specified trim, finish and included components as well. Selected listings also include FC21 passage-and-privacy configurations. Review the instructions for the exact FC21 model and its intended setup rather than assuming it operates identically to an F10 passage set straight from the package. For a project involving several rooms, list each door's required function before choosing coordinated hardware.

Match the lever and rosette together when planning the appearance of your interior doors. Accent provides a curved profile, while Latitude offers a straight design, with different trim combinations represented across the listings. Satin nickel, matte black, aged bronze and brass finishes are among the options offered on selected passage models. Availability varies by the complete model and finish. Compare the finish name with nearby hinges and other door hardware, and check the selected product images. Ordering by lever name alone may result in a different surrounding trim or finish than the hardware you are replacing.

Before ordering a replacement passage set, measure the door thickness, backset and bore preparation. Compare the latch faceplate and strike with the existing door and frame, and check whether the selected lever is reversible or requires a particular handing. Review package contents before reusing older components. Browse all Schlage door levers to coordinate functions across your home, including privacy levers, keyed entry levers and dummy levers.
