In more recent years the emphasis on cheap, high volume building products has discouraged manufacturers from re-introducing well made hardware. But now these ideas are changing, Americans are re-discovering the satisfaction that comes from owning well designed products. Emtek's mission is to make it possible for home owners to apply these higher expectations to door locks. Need to a make a return or report a damaged shipment?
No problem. Simply email cs@factorydirecthardware.com with your original invoice number and reason for return, and we'll email instructions for making your return.

We do ask that your return meets the following rules:

• RGA request must be made within 60 days of receiving your order.          
• Products are in original packaging.       
• Products have not been installed or used.          
• Clearance returns are not accepted.

Do I pay a restocking fee?

All  returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. 

Do I pay the return shipping?

We do not pay the return shipping unless an error was made on our end. We suggest shipping the return with FedEx or UPS so that proper tracking can be obtained.

What if my order was damaged or defective?

Please email cs@factorydirecthardware.com within 3 days of receiving the order to report the damage with pictures. We'll work to get replacements to you in a timely fashion.

How can I make an exchange?

We technically don't "exchange" orders. We find the easiest way to handle an exchange is to make your return and place a new order for the correct product. We will waive the 15% restocking fee if you let us know your new order number.
