PDQ offers the 3100 light-duty, 5100 heavy-duty, 5300 streamline-cover, 5500 full-cover and 7100 extra-heavy-duty families. Select the closer using door width, traffic, spring-power requirements, door and frame preparation, and appropriate mounting location rather than appearance alone.

Arm configurations, finishes and installation

PA tri-pack, parallel hold-open, door saver, cushion stop, extra-duty and sliding track arrangements serve different installation needs. Track-arm models have separate mounting instructions. Mechanical hold-open arms should not be used on labeled fire doors. Confirm each option against the current manufacturer submittal and template.
