Choosing GEO Hardware

GEO offers a broad selection of smaller hardware products used throughout the home, including door accessories, bathroom hardware, closet and utility pieces, and general mounting hardware. The collection is useful for both new projects and replacements because it brings together items such as door stops, catches, strikes, hooks, pulls, bolts, viewers, handrail brackets, bath accessories, and related components under one brand.

Start by identifying the exact function required rather than selecting by finish alone. A replacement ball catch, door stop, flush pull, or bath accessory has dimensions and mounting requirements that determine whether it will fit the existing location. Record screw spacing, faceplate or base dimensions, projection, overall length, bore size, and other relevant measurements from the existing hardware before comparing a replacement.

Door accessories can have especially specific preparation requirements. Catches and strikes should be matched by body size, faceplate shape, adjustment range, and strike style. Door stops should be selected by mounting location and the amount of projection needed to protect the wall, trim, or adjacent hardware. Pulls, viewers, bolts, and other door components should be checked against door thickness and existing holes when those dimensions apply.

For GEO bathroom and home hardware, compare the mounting base, overall dimensions, projection, and intended installation surface. Towel bars, paper holders, robe hooks, grab bars, and handrail brackets serve different functions and should be installed using appropriate support for the product and wall condition. Do not assume that visually similar accessories have the same mounting pattern or load requirements.

After fit and function are confirmed, use finish and profile to coordinate the hardware throughout the project. Product-specific finish images and specifications are the best reference when matching existing hardware. Review included components and installation instructions before ordering, particularly when replacing older hardware where the original mounting holes or preparation must be reused.

GEO architectural hardware covers smaller home and door components with varied installation needs. Use GEO door stops when protecting a wall or door from impact and GEO bathroom hardware for appropriately mounted bath accessories. GEO pocket door locks require distinct door thickness, edge preparation and latch specifications. Comparing those separate subcollections can prevent ordering a similarly finished but mechanically incompatible part.
