Copper Creek Hardware Exit Devices

Copper Creek exit devices include Grade 1 rim and vertical rod panic hardware for commercial door openings, with 36-inch and 48-inch configurations represented in the assortment. Both standard and fire-rated device options are available, so the correct model should be selected for the door, frame, opening type, and project requirements.

Compare rim versus vertical rod operation, device length, door width, fire-rating requirements, exterior trim compatibility, strikes, and related hardware before ordering. For rated or egress openings, verify the complete opening requirements and manufacturer specifications rather than assuming devices with similar appearance are interchangeable.

Copper Creek Exit Devices for Commercial Door Openings

Copper Creek exit devices provide push-bar operation for commercial doors where an exit device is specified. The assortment includes Grade 1 rim devices and vertical rod devices in multiple lengths, along with fire-rated versions for openings that require rated hardware. Selecting the correct device starts with the door and frame configuration rather than the appearance of the push bar.

Rim exit devices latch at a strike mounted to the frame and are commonly used where a surface-mounted single-point latching arrangement matches the opening. Vertical rod devices use top and bottom latching components and require a different door and frame preparation. These device types are not interchangeable without considering the complete opening, so confirm the required configuration before ordering.

Device length must also match the door width and manufacturer specifications. This collection includes 36-inch and 48-inch configurations, but the nominal device size should be checked against the actual door and the allowable sizing information for the individual model. Review handing or orientation requirements, strike details, fasteners, and any required vertical-rod components as part of the same check.

Fire-rated exit devices should be selected only when the specific opening calls for rated hardware and the complete assembly requirements are understood. Fire-rated openings can have restrictions on features such as mechanical dogging and require compatible doors, frames, strikes, trim, and other listed components. Use the manufacturer documentation and project requirements to verify the complete assembly rather than treating a fire-rated device as a direct substitute for every standard device.

Exterior trim and access requirements are another important part of the opening. If outside entry is needed, confirm the trim function, cylinder or keying requirements, mounting pattern, and compatibility with the selected exit-device series. Commercial egress openings can also be subject to building, fire, accessibility, and local requirements, so the final hardware selection should be checked against the plans, specifications, and applicable requirements for the project.
