The Emtek EM28PVL238S is a 28-degree privacy door latch for compatible Emtek privacy knobs and levers. Its 28° mechanism requires less handle rotation to retract the latch than Emtek's standard 45° latch. This non-adjustable model has a fixed 2-3/8″ backset and a square-corner faceplate.
Use this latch to restore locking privacy operation when the existing Emtek hardware uses the same 28° mechanism, backset, and faceplate preparation. It is not a universal retrofit for standard or otherwise incompatible latch mechanisms.

We do ask that your return meets the following rules:
- RGA request must be made within 60 days of receiving your order.
- Products are in original packaging.
- Products have not been installed or used.
- Clearance returns are not accepted.
Do I pay a restocking fee?
All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Do I pay the return shipping?
We do not pay the return shipping unless an error was made on our end. We suggest shipping the return with FedEx or UPS so that proper tracking can be obtained.
What if my order was damaged or defective?
Please email cs@factorydirecthardware.com within 3 days of receiving the order to report the damage with pictures. We'll work to get replacements to you in a timely fashion.
How can I make an exchange?
We technically don't "exchange" orders. We find the easiest way to handle an exchange is to make your return and place a new order for the correct product. We will waive the 15% restocking fee if you let us know your new order number.
