The Emtek EM28PVL238R is a 28-degree privacy door latch for compatible Emtek privacy knobs and levers. Its 28° mechanism requires less handle rotation to retract the latch than Emtek's standard 45° latch. This non-adjustable model has a fixed 2-3/8″ backset and a radius-corner faceplate.
Use this latch to restore locking privacy operation when the existing Emtek hardware uses the same 28° mechanism, backset, and faceplate preparation. It is not a universal retrofit for standard or otherwise incompatible latch mechanisms.
