Fire-rated mortise exit devices are intended for rated openings only when the complete device, trim, door, frame, strike, and installation meet the applicable listing and project requirements. Fire exit hardware generally has different hold-open restrictions from non-rated panic hardware, so the exact model and application should be confirmed before ordering accessories or modifications.
