LCN Concealed Door Closers

LCN concealed door closers provide controlled closing with the closer body recessed into the door or frame. Shop concealed configurations for commercial and institutional openings, including LCN 2010, 2030 and 3130 series models. Choosing the right replacement starts with the existing closer number, mounting location and door preparation—not just the appearance of the visible arm or track.

Compare right- and left-hand configurations, spring sizes and standard or hold-open options in each listing. In-door and in-frame closers require different preparations, so confirm the installation template before ordering. For other mounting styles, browse our full selection of LCN door closers.

Choosing an LCN Concealed Door Closer

LCN overhead concealed door closers are selected for openings where the closer body needs to sit inside the door or frame. This mounting arrangement helps maintain the appearance of the opening while providing mechanical door control. It also makes the existing preparation especially important when replacing hardware. Before selecting a closer, identify where the body is installed, where the track or arm attaches, and how much space is available for the assembly.

Start with the LCN series and the complete model number on the existing unit. The 2010 family includes in-frame configurations, while the 2030 series uses a frame-mounted closer with a concealed track in the door. The 3130 series is designed for concealment within a 1-3/4-inch interior door. These are different installation arrangements, so matching the brand alone is not enough to establish compatibility. Check the manufacturer's template against the door, frame and existing mounting points before choosing a replacement.

Next, compare the exact ordering options. Listings may distinguish right-hand from left-hand operation, different spring sizes, finishes, and standard versus hold-open tracks. Model numbers such as 2031, 2033, 2034 and 2035 should not be treated as interchangeable simply because they belong to the same family. Use the manufacturer's selection information for the opening and verify the complete model suffix. A matching finish is useful for exposed components, but it does not confirm that the closer will fit or operate correctly.

Check package contents as carefully as the model number. A complete closer assembly and a replacement cylinder or track are different purchases. When reusing an existing arm, track, mounting plate or fasteners, confirm that the specific components are compatible with the replacement. For an unfamiliar installation, photographs of the closer markings, track and open door can help identify the configuration. Keep the dimensions of the existing preparation available so the replacement can be compared with the installation drawing.

If the opening uses an exposed closer body, compare LCN surface mounted door closers instead.
