Keyed entry door knobs combine a turning knob with a keyed locking function. They are used on doors where access from one side is controlled by a key, including front doors, side entries, offices, utility rooms, storage rooms, service doors, and other residential or commercial openings.

The keyed side of the knob contains a cylinder and keyway, while the opposite side uses an interior operating control that varies by lock design.
