Ives Pocket Door Hardware

Ives pocket door hardware includes flush pulls, edge pulls, sliding-door pulls, pocket-door bolts, and passage or locking hardware for sliding interior doors. The active assortment covers recessed and edge-mounted components used on pocket doors where conventional projecting knobs or levers would interfere with the wall cavity.

Compare door thickness, cutout or mortise dimensions, pull size, edge preparation, lock or passage function, handing where applicable, strike preparation, and finish. Replacement hardware should be matched to the existing recess and door-edge preparation whenever possible.

Choosing Ives Pocket Door Hardware

Pocket doors slide into a wall cavity, so the operating hardware must remain relatively flush with the door faces and edges. Ives pocket-door products include recessed flush pulls, edge pulls used to retrieve a fully open door, sliding-door pulls, bolts, and passage or locking hardware.

Start by measuring the existing cutout or planning the required preparation. Compare overall trim size, recess depth, cutout dimensions, door thickness, edge-mortise dimensions, screw locations, and any strike preparation. Hardware that looks similar from the front can require a different opening in the door.

Function matters as well. Passage hardware provides operating trim without privacy locking, while locking pocket-door products use their own bolt or latch arrangement. Separate edge pulls and flush pulls may be used with either type depending on the door and hardware design.

For replacement work, matching the previous Ives model or the existing preparation is usually the simplest route. Check door thickness and the condition of the pocket-door track and alignment too, because a dragging or misaligned door should be corrected rather than relying on new trim to compensate.

After fit and function are confirmed, choose the finish that coordinates with nearby hinges, locks, pulls, and other architectural hardware.
