Choosing an Emtek Handleset

Emtek handlesets combine decorative exterior grip hardware with locking and interior trim for residential entry doors. Cylinder configuration should be selected with egress in mind. A single cylinder handleset generally uses a key outside and a thumbturn inside, while a double cylinder configuration requires a key on both sides. An interior key requirement can restrict emergency exit and may be prohibited on some openings by applicable building, fire, or life-safety rules.
