Choosing Emtek Door Accessories

Emtek door accessories cover a wide range of jobs around the opening, from controlling or holding the door to adding decorative entry details. The assortment includes items such as floor and hinge-pivot stops, flush bolts, surface bolts, roller catches, edge pulls, pull plates, door knockers, doorbell trim, and other supporting hardware. Start with the function needed rather than finish alone, because products that coordinate visually can have very different installation requirements.

Door stops should be selected by where they mount and how much clearance is available. Floor, wall, hinge-related, or other stop formats can interact differently with the door swing, baseboard, trim, and nearby fixtures. Compare projection, mounting position, door weight or use conditions where specified, and the surface that will receive the hardware before drilling.

Flush bolts, surface bolts, catches, and similar functional accessories require closer attention to door and frame preparation. Check overall dimensions, throw or travel where relevant, strike style, mortise or surface mounting requirements, and whether the hardware is intended for an active or inactive door in the planned application.
