Shop door push plates for commercial doors, restroom doors, restaurants, offices, schools, institutions, hospitality spaces, and other high-traffic openings. Push plates provide a durable hand-contact surface on the push side of a door and help protect painted, wood, laminate, or metal door faces from repeated use.

Choose brass push plates, stainless-steel push plates, rectangular plates, beveled styles, and coordinating push/pull hardware by plate size, thickness, corner or edge style, mounting-hole pattern, screw type, material, and finish.

Door Push Plates for Commercial, Restroom, Office, and High-Traffic Doors

Door push plates are protective metal plates installed on the push side of a door where hands regularly contact the surface. They are common on commercial doors, restroom doors, restaurants, offices, schools, institutional buildings, hospitality spaces, and other high-traffic openings where repeated contact can wear or soil the door finish.

Commercial door push plates are available in stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and other architectural materials and finishes. Rectangular plates are the most common format, with differences in overall width and height, material thickness, corner style, edge treatment, screw-hole layout, and mounting hardware.

Before ordering, measure the available flat area on the door and check clearance from locksets, exit devices, pulls, glazing, louvers, and other mounted hardware. When replacing an existing push plate, matching the old footprint can help cover previous screw holes, wear marks, or finish differences.

Push plates can also be paired with door pulls on opposite sides of an opening as part of push/pull door hardware. In those applications, coordinate the plate dimensions, pull mounting, finish, and door preparation so the hardware fits without interference.
