Commercial cylindrical locks are available in functions such as storeroom, classroom, passage, office or entry, and other configurations. Confirm the required function, grade, door thickness, bore and edge preparation, backset, latch and strike, cylinder or keying format, and lever or knob design. Products using standard cylinders, interchangeable cores, or other keying formats should be matched to the facility's existing key system where required.
Door closers need to be selected according to the door size and conditions, closer model, mounting method, arm configuration, adjustment features, and any required accessories or drop plates. The closer is only one part of the opening, so door weight, hinges, frame condition, seals, latch hardware, wind exposure, and applicable accessibility or fire-door requirements can affect performance.
Exit devices and trim require careful compatibility checks. Confirm device type, door width and height limitations, trim function, cylinder format, handing where applicable, strike, dogging or fire-exit requirements, and any listed accessories. Parts and extension rods should be matched to the exact exit-device family rather than selected by approximate size or finish.
For fire-rated, egress, accessibility, electrified, or other regulated openings, verify the exact product listings and the requirements of the complete assembly before installation. A Grade 1 or Grade 2 designation does not by itself establish suitability for every opening. Once function, compatibility, and project requirements are confirmed, choose the finish and trim that coordinate with the rest of the hardware package.
