Choosing Deltana Door Stops and Bumpers

Deltana door stops and bumpers include several mounting styles for controlling door travel and protecting surrounding surfaces. The active assortment includes baseboard-mounted stops, floor stops, hinge-pin stops, low-profile dome stops, universal bumpers, magnetic stop-and-catch hardware, kickdown door holders, and related pieces. The best choice depends on where the door can safely be stopped and whether the hardware only needs to limit travel or also hold the door open.

Baseboard and wall-area stops should be positioned so the door or knob contacts the intended bumper surface rather than nearby trim or drywall. Floor-mounted stops can be useful when wall or baseboard placement is not practical, but their location should account for traffic paths and the door swing. Hinge-pin stops attach at the hinge area and can reduce the need for a separate wall or floor mounting point, although compatibility with the hinge and door geometry should be checked.
